June 2012 - June 2018

U.S. Navy

My Navy experience consisted of a multitude of jobs. Although my main duty was to fly in helicopters as a rescue swimmer and crewchief, I had more administrative work to do on the ground for my squadron.

Department Training Supervisor

  • Completed an extensive audit of 30 personnel training records and transcribed 10K+ line items into electronic training records and databases and completed work in less than 1 month

  • Analyzed training processes, verified 1.1K mission essential qualifications, and developed training opportunities that enabled the organization to exceed operational readiness minimums by 13%

  • Monitored employee qualification progression, provided monthly briefs to executive leadership on employee qualification progress, and developed training plans to assist employees who fell behind qualification timelines

  • • Audited employee training records and passed 6 safety and technical inspections with an average assessment score of 92%; all programs recognized as “model programs” by senior leadership and inspection teams

  • Oversaw the scheduling and completion of technical training requirements for 29 personnel across 3 departments and implemented processes that improved time to train by 50% without reducing content

Operational Planning Supervisor

  • Advised Directors and Managers and ensured 100% compliance with FAA policies, technical manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures resulting in ZERO aviation mishaps or flight violations

  • Researched and developed solutions to complex scheduling problems by analyzing the availability of personnel and assets and suggesting schedule modifications that enabled the completion of commitments

  • Verified flight crew proficiency, currencies, and qualifications and developed long- and short-term plans that improved operational readiness

  • Collaborated with executive leadership, directors, and managers to develop daily schedules for the organization and achieved 98% of operational commitments and organizational objectives

  • Calculated and verified the accuracy of daily flight hours, flight codes, and personnel qualifications and flight currencies resulting in the safe completion of 2.2K flights and 7.4K flight hours

Rescue Swimmer and Crewchief

  • I spent six years learning the ins and outs of search and rescue, aerial gunnery, logistics, naval aviation tactics, special operation forces insertion and extraction, and MH-60S helicopter systems knowledge. Aside from that, the bonds and friendships made through learning to lead my peers on three different deployments has prepared me for future leadership and developmental roles.
